on the other hand if you want a pfp or full body character portrait in full color i am offering commissions for 30 and 60 usd respectively. my recent stuff looks like this

here in Santa Fe, we are lucky to have almost half of our product as local. but even in a "best case scenario" i would say all the capacity on that local product greatly reduced by their own supply chain dependence

so if the big box stores (except maybe whole foods? i shudder to think what that might become) disappear and the co op can only supply at best a quarter of what it does now and at insane prices, pretty much everybody will have to cooperate on food production and ecological support work to survive

I mean look at that hat! Coming back with a bag full of carrots and parsnips and other things you've never even heard of. Where are they off to, what's the potted plant for, is it food? Is it a pretty centerfold? It could be sentient, it wouldn't be the last cactus to board a train and head someplace.

• my desktop is 15(!) years old and can play pso2 and zzz and emulate 6th gen consoles and do video editing. as far as i am concerned that is all it will ever need to do
• my laptop is also 15 years old and still functions as a daily driver
• but incidentally i have been daily driving my reMarkable tablet more than my laptop - no color, no network, and purely document based interface for drawing, reading, and writing and it has been feeling gooood. i did buy it new last year (subsidized by work) but the screen has some scratches and cracks already so combined with the other limitations it definitely has the old computer challenge vibes

• while the court recognizes the right for state institutions to make special exceptions for trans athletes they do not see that as necessary
• indeed simply gatekeeping on the basis of ASAB is sufficient (arguing that it would be too much overhead to examine in detail if trans women are literally in the same league physically as the cis women they would compete with, and, ironically, that the second order effects of this allowance would be deleterious)
• and the kicker, included as an aside but importantly in the ruling anyway, trans women are not women but mentally ill men and should be treated as such

I was scratching my head wondering how we could link sheets with each other so that we could jump between them, I realized that a spreadsheet itself is just fine as a file browser if you can open the strings as paths.

Obviously it looks super weird if I try to open a markdown file as a tsv..
